Connect Your Shopify Store

Connect UCrew to your Shopify store to give your AI agent access to your product catalog, orders, and customers — so it can answer shopping questions and close sales automatically.

Product Search

Customers ask questions like "Do you have a red dress in size M?" — the bot searches your live catalog and responds with matching products.

Order Tracking

Customers type their order number or email — the bot fetches real-time order status directly from Shopify.

Cart Abandonment

When a customer leaves without buying, UCrew sends them an automated follow-up message to bring them back.

Product Recommendations

The AI suggests relevant products based on what the customer is looking for.

What You'll Need

  • An active Shopify store (any plan)
  • Admin access to your Shopify store
  • Your UCrew account with a project set up

How to Connect

1

Open Integrations in UCrew

Log in to your UCrew Dashboard → click Integrations in the sidebar.

2

Click "Connect" on Shopify

Find the Shopify card and click Connect. You'll see a form asking for your store URL and an API token.

3

Enter Your Shopify Store URL

Type your Shopify store address in the format:your-store.myshopify.com

Your myshopify.com URL is always available in your Shopify Admin — it appears in the browser address bar when you're logged in to Shopify.

4

Generate an API Token in Shopify

UCrew needs a read-only API key to access your store data. Here's how to create one:

  • In Shopify Admin → click Settings (bottom left) → Apps and sales channels
  • Click Develop apps → Allow custom app development (if prompted)
  • Click Create an app → name it "UCrew" → click Create app
  • Go to the Configuration tab → click Edit under Admin API integration
  • Enable Read access for: Products, Orders, Customers, Inventory → click Save
  • Go to the API credentials tab → click Install app → confirm
  • Copy the Admin API access token shown (starts with shpat_...)

The token is only shown once — copy it immediately and paste it into UCrew before closing the Shopify page.

5

Paste the Token in UCrew and Save

Paste the Admin API access token into the UCrew Shopify connection form, then click Save & Connect.UCrew will verify the connection and sync your product catalog in the background.

6

Enable the Features You Want

After connecting, you'll see toggle switches for each Shopify feature. Turn on the ones you need:

  • Product Search — recommended for all stores
  • Order Tracking — great for reducing "where is my order?" questions
  • Cart Abandonment Recovery — helps bring back customers who didn't buy
  • Product Recommendations — for upselling and cross-selling
7

Test It Out

Open the Test Chat in your UCrew dashboard (right side panel) and ask:"Do you have any running shoes?" or "Where is order #1234?"The bot should respond with real data from your Shopify store.

Common Questions

What if I reset the Shopify API token?

Can I connect multiple Shopify stores?

Yes — each store connects as a separate integration in your UCrew project.

Will the bot search all my products automatically?

Yes — once connected, the bot can search your entire product catalog in real time whenever a customer asks.
