Install on Squarespace

Add the UCrew chat widget to any Squarespace website using Squarespace's built-in Code Injection feature. Works site-wide with a single paste — no coding experience needed.

Before You Start

  • Get your Project ID from UCrew Dashboard → Project Settings → Widget
  • You need admin access to your Squarespace site
  • Code Injection requires a Business plan or higher

Method A — Code Injection (Site-Wide)

1

Open Code Injection Settings

In your Squarespace Dashboard, go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection.

Code Injection appears under Settings → Advanced. If you don't see it, check your Squarespace plan — it requires Business plan or higher.

2

Add Script to Footer

Find the Footer section (not Header — footer loads after the page content which is better for performance). Paste the following:

Footer Code Injection
<!-- UCrew Chat Widget -->
<script>
  (function() {
    var s = document.createElement('script');
    s.src = 'https://ucrew.ai/widget/v1.js';
    s.setAttribute('data-project-id', 'YOUR_PROJECT_ID');
    s.async = true;
    document.head.appendChild(s);
  })();
</script>

Replace YOUR_PROJECT_ID with your actual Project ID from UCrew.

3

Save Changes

Click Save. The widget will immediately appear on all pages of your live Squarespace site — no republishing needed.

Code Injection applies to all pages globally. You don't need to add it to each page individually.

Method B — Page-Specific Injection

To add the widget to specific pages only (e.g., contact page, product pages):

1

Open Page Settings

In the Pages panel, hover over the page you want and click the ⚙️ gear icon → Advanced tab.

2

Paste in Page Header or Footer

Scroll to the Page Header Code Injection or Page Footer Code Injection box and paste:

Page-Specific Injection
<script>
  (function() {
    var s = document.createElement('script');
    s.src = 'https://ucrew.ai/widget/v1.js';
    s.setAttribute('data-project-id', 'YOUR_PROJECT_ID');
    s.async = true;
    document.head.appendChild(s);
  })();
</script>
3

Save

Click Save. The widget will only appear on this specific page.
