Install on WordPress / WooCommerce
Add the UCrew chat widget to your WordPress or WooCommerce site. No plugin required — just a simple code snippet pasted into your theme or a free plugin.
Before You Start
- Get your Project ID from UCrew Dashboard → Project Settings → Widget
- You need admin access to your WordPress site
- Choose Method A (recommended) or Method B below
Theme Footer Editor
Open Theme File Editor
In WordPress Admin → Appearance → Theme File Editor.On the right, select footer.php.
If Theme File Editor is not visible, your host may have disabled it. Use Method B instead.
Add the Widget Script Before </body>
Find the closing </body> tag in footer.php and paste immediately before it:
<!-- UCrew Chat Widget -->
<script>
(function() {
var s = document.createElement('script');
s.src = 'https://ucrew.ai/widget/v1.js';
s.setAttribute('data-project-id', 'YOUR_PROJECT_ID');
s.async = true;
document.head.appendChild(s);
})();
</script>
</body>Save & Preview
Click Update File then visit your site in a new tab. The chat button will appear in the bottom-right corner.
Code Snippet Plugin
Install a Code Injection Plugin
Install one of these free plugins from WordPress.org:
- WPCode (formerly Insert Headers and Footers) — most popular
- Header Footer Code Manager
- Code Snippets
Search the plugin name in WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New, install and activate.
Add the Script to Footer
Open the plugin and find the Footer Scripts section. Paste:
<script>
(function() {
var s = document.createElement('script');
s.src = 'https://ucrew.ai/widget/v1.js';
s.setAttribute('data-project-id', 'YOUR_PROJECT_ID');
s.async = true;
document.head.appendChild(s);
})();
</script>Save & Test
Save the settings and visit your website. The chat button will appear right away.
